Another one of my absolute favorite places to take visitors when they come to San Diego is Sunset Cliffs. Located at the far end of Ocean Beach, these "cliffs" span a couple miles of ocean, with intricate rock and arch foundations from years of erosion. They're wonderful for a run, a stroll or even a drive-by, and they're an absolutely perfect place to watch the sunset.
I brought Sarah to Sunset Cliffs when she visited me a few weeks ago, and here are some of the pictures I snapped. Even though it was a bit overcast that day, the view was still stunning.
