Well, it's Wednesday, May 12 and we are officially in the TWENTIES, people!
If this is your first time reading my blog (hi, by the way!), then you have no idea what I'm talking about. Long story short, my boyfriend Mike is a naval officer and has been re-stationed in Italy for the past year and a half... and he is coming home (for good!) in 29 days.
And even though Mike living in Italy meant we got to take awesome pictures like this:
...I cannot freaking contain my excitement that he'll back back in San Diego in less than a month. Note: I promise we'll take just as adorable pictures when we're not in Europe.
There is something about the move from 30 days to 29 (not like I have a running countdown or anything), that is a really big deal. I mean, we've been doing this song and dance for a year and half. A year and a half! That's a really long time. And now, we're just 29 days away from the end of long distance. 29 days away from not having to wait every three months to see each other (with a day-long plane ride in between). 29 days away from being a couple that actually lives in the same time zone, let alone the same city!
I know it will be a change. A huge adjustment, actually. But I've been waiting for this for a year and a half, and now it's just 29 days away! So, sorry if this post is a bit sappy (and repetitive...), but today is a big deal!
And what's the best way to celebrate a big deal such as this? Well, by going to Hawaii, of course! It's not happening until Thanksgiving (kahlua pork for dinner, anyone?), but as of earlier this week, the trip is officially booked!
If you need me, I'll be on cloud nine for at least the next 24 hours. Happy Wednesday!
