Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had wonderful weekends. Mine was a bit boozier than normal, starting off with...
1. Alcohol-infused team-bonding
On Friday afternoon, my work team headed out for some good old-fashioned team bonding, including stops at Old Harbor Distillery and Stella Public House in East Village downtown. While gin tasting isn't really my thing (as I found out that day), it was cool to tour an early-stage local distillery and see how the process works. And Stella, an up-and-coming spot next to a burgeoning high-rise apartment complex, was amazing. Great food menu (heavy cheese focus... if you're into that), as well as a wide selection of local craft beers.
2. "Black Sails"
As is the case with most boozy nights, the following day involved a lottt of lazy, recovery time, fueled by my newly discovered favorite show: "Black Sails." This Starz series is basically a mix of "Game of Thrones" and "Pirates of the Caribbean," and it is awesome. I easily powered through five episodes on Saturday, and I'm now thoroughly hooked (no pun intended). If you're a fan of action-packed dramas and (good-looking) pirates, you will be too!
3. Girls night out!
On Saturday night, we hit the mean streets of PB to celebrate a friend's return to San Diego! Stef was back in town after moving away from San Diego last year, so we did our best to welcome her back to her old home in style.
Standard pregame photo--Thanks Steph! And yes, I have two friends named Steph/Stef.
4. "5 Best Butt Exercises" by Cassey Ho
On Sunday, I turned to Blogilates for my workout. For those of you who aren't familiar with Cassey and her workout programs, check out this video from Sunday's workout for a taste of these challenging, yet fun videos:
5. This little home decor addition
After Palm Sunday mass, I stashed my palm frond behind this compass tile Mike brought me back from Italy. It's the little things :)
What are you still smiling about from this past weekend?
